The head of state conducted a visit to meet with Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region on Tuesday. Zelenskyy announced that he met with fighters at the operational headquarters of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya area, a location approximately 12 miles from Pokrovsk.

Volatile Circumstances in the Area

Geospatial data from a national effort revealed that Russian forces had made gains into Pokrovsk and its environs, though much of it was not fully held by both forces. The situation remains critical, with updates indicating that opposition troops were fortifying positions and enhancing fortifications in some districts.

Russian forces continue to advance in the Pokrovsk sector and appear to be operating with increasing comfort within urban Pokrovsk.

Research institutes noted that Ukrainian forces had liberated a significant portion of a opposition incursion in the Dobropillya area, on the eastern edge of the Pokrovsk operation.

The Moscow's representation later expressed sympathy for the death of a foreign national in the accident but used the chance to protest that the critical reaction to the remarks was anti-Russian.
