In a bizarre collaboration that challenges traditional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited practices and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.
The questline focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to several objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Third Free Story Addition
This patch also introduces the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
