Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
